Alex Villacorta is a 2x founder and data scientist with nearly two decades of experience at the forefront of real estate analytics. As the CEO of Azuli, Alex is leveraging a "human-in-the-loop" approach to solve the industry's most persistent challenge: the lack of consistency in property valuations. Previously, Alex was the Co-Founder and Chief Data Officer of ResiShares, a premier SFR research platform acquired by Attom Data Solutions. His career has been defined by building the systems the industry relies on, including leadership roles at HouseCanary and Clear Capital, where he was a principal architect of the Freddie Mac LCA system. A recognized authority in the field, Alex holds two patents and sits on the product boards of the world’s leading real estate data companies. He earned his Ph.D. in Statistics and Applied Probability from UC Santa Barbara, specializing in statistical inference for complex, real-world data. Based in Boulder, CO, Alex balances his obsession with data integrity by spending time with his wife, two children, and their new dog, or on the field playing ultimate frisbee and cheering for the Lakers.

Prior to Azuli, David held executive roles as Chief Appraiser and EVP of Valuations at Clear Capital, HouseCanary, and Class Valuation. His career is marked by a commitment to standardizing the "human" side of data; he pioneered quality scoring for BPOs and appraisals and collaborated closely with Alex on the development of Freddie Mac’s Loan Collateral Advisor (LCA). David’s expertise spans the full spectrum of the field - from residential and commercial appraisal to automated model development and academia. At Azuli, he ensures that the platform’s "human-in-the-loop" workflow meets the highest standards of defensibility and market nuance. His approach to data engineering is rooted in high-stakes precision; Trannon holds a Master of Science in Aeronautics and Astronautics from MIT and a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Colorado at Boulder.
